Happy Holidays from Mama-Betes!

Hi Reader!
I can't believe this is the last newsletter of 2025! Thank you for all of your support over the past year. I have loved building this community and getting to know all of you - and we are just getting started!
As I reflect on the past year, my 28th year with diabetes, I feel like I have learned so much about unconventional ways to manage the disease, and I am excited for what's to come in 2026. I will be switching to a new endocrinologist who I hope is on board with GLP-1s and DIY Loop, getting some testing done for the ongoing vertigo issues I have had, and although I am a bit nervous about the news of Dexcom sunsetting the Dexcom G6 in July, part of me is excited to try something new.
What are you looking forward to in the new year? Feel free to reply to this email and let me know!

What I'm loving this month on Amazon!
I have so many fun finds to share this month! I honestly had trouble choosing my top picks. Here are a few of my favorite purchases:
Fleece-lined hat: This warm fleece-lined hat comes in TONS of color options and will keep me warm when I walk my dog this winter.
Freezer snack pouches: I was getting tired of sending shelf-stable processed food for my kid's school snacks, so I bought these Packit freezer pouches. We have been using the Packit lunch boxes for years. Now they are bringing snacks like yogurt, string cheese, and fresh fruit, which makes my dietitian heart very happy!
Harney and Sons Cinnamon Decaf Hot Tea: I know I've mentioned the Sweet and Spicy tea that I love several times, but this one might actually be my new favorite! I love the cute tin it comes in and how you can really taste the cinnamon.
Heated neck and back massager: This is one of those gifts you get for your significant other, but you actually steal it and use it for yourself.
Double-sided cutting board: One side is titanium for meat, the other is bamboo for fruits, vegetables, to use as a charcuterie board, etc. Genius and practical! I will be gifting several of these this year.
Glass oil dispenser: No more constantly buying cooking spray! Just pour in your favorite oil and spray or pour from the spout.
Green Pan Non-Stick Ceramic Pans: I decided to upgrade some of my pots and pans recently, and after doing lots of research, I settled on these. I love how evenly they cook and how easy they are to clean. Apparently, they were on Oprah's Favorite Things list last year.

Hi Reader! School started for my kids this week, and maybe it’s the Type A in me, but being back to a routine feels glorious. I love summer, but by mid‑August I’m ready for cooler mornings and more predictable days. Evenings are officially back to chauffeuring my kids around to soccer, baseball, tennis, and gymnastics. For me, staying busy and having a steady rhythm makes blood‑sugar management so much easier. Next week I have an appointment with a new endocrinologist. My last endo left the...
Hi Reader! I always underestimate how busy summer gets. Between work, vacations, playdates, and being the mom taxi, life fills up fast. Because of that, I’ve paused taking Nourish clients so I can focus on my blog, Omnipod trainings, and private clients in the FTF Warrior program. I truly believe in the FTF Warrior program. It’s designed to help you tighten up your blood sugars, hit 90%+ time-in-range, and predict how food, exercise, and everyday life affect your blood sugars. If you want...
Hi Reader! Happy Prime Day! I've been scouring deals and found some fantastic finds that I use and love personally, that I just had to share with you. Check them out below! On another note, summer is officially here (and it's my absolute favorite time of year! 🌞), which means it's prime time to talk about keeping insulin cool. Between beach trips, pool days, and spontaneous outdoor adventures, don't forget that your insulin needs a little extra TLC in the heat. Speaking of summer vibes, have...
