Prime Day Diabetes finds + keeping your cool this summer! ☀️

Hi Reader!

Happy Prime Day! I've been scouring deals and found some fantastic finds that I use and love personally, that I just had to share with you. Check them out below!

On another note, summer is officially here (and it's my absolute favorite time of year! 🌞), which means it's prime time to talk about keeping insulin cool. Between beach trips, pool days, and spontaneous outdoor adventures, don't forget that your insulin needs a little extra TLC in the heat.

Speaking of summer vibes, have you jumped on the dirty sodas trend yet? They're everywhere right now, and while I'm totally here for the fun flavors, I'm also thinking about how to make them more diabetes-friendly.

But here's what I'm most excited to share with you this month: my brand new article where I'm spilling all the beans about what has truly helped me improve my T1D management! This article contains the real, honest strategies that have truly made the biggest difference in my daily life with diabetes. Don't miss this one!

What I'm loving this month on Amazon - Prime day edition!!

Here are a few of my all-time favorite purchases that I am stocking up on for Prime Day:

  • Contour Next Test Strips - This is the blood sugar monitor I use and love!
  • Skratch gummies - These are one of my favorite low treatments! They taste great, work fast, and I know that one gummy raises my blood sugar about 20 points.
  • Gu Gel - These are perfect for preventing lows during workouts, and they taste like dessert!
  • Skin prep wipes - These clean your skin and help your insulin pump sites and CGMs stick better - win, win!
  • Owala water bottle - My very favorite water bottle that I use daily! This helps me stay hydrated, which is so important for blood sugars.
  • Insulin cooling case - Perfect for keeping insulin or GLP-1 meds cool while traveling.
  • Food Scale - This is a great food scale that also displays nutritional information for the food you weigh.
  • Omnipod SkinGrip patches - I use these all the time in the summer to help my Omnipod stay in place while I am swimming and sweating constantly.

Until next time,

Lindsay

Hi Reader! School started for my kids this week, and maybe it’s the Type A in me, but being back to a routine feels glorious. I love summer, but by mid‑August I’m ready for cooler mornings and more predictable days. Evenings are officially back to chauffeuring my kids around to soccer, baseball, tennis, and gymnastics. For me, staying busy and having a steady rhythm makes blood‑sugar management so much easier. Next week I have an appointment with a new endocrinologist. My last endo left the...

Hi Reader! I always underestimate how busy summer gets. Between work, vacations, playdates, and being the mom taxi, life fills up fast. Because of that, I’ve paused taking Nourish clients so I can focus on my blog, Omnipod trainings, and private clients in the FTF Warrior program. I truly believe in the FTF Warrior program. It’s designed to help you tighten up your blood sugars, hit 90%+ time-in-range, and predict how food, exercise, and everyday life affect your blood sugars. If you want...

Hi Reader! Spring is here, and while I've been busy decluttering closets and cleaning out my garage, I realized there's another area of my life that could use some spring cleaning: my diabetes management. Lately, I've been working with many clients, helping fine-tune basal rates and bolus ratios. As I've been guiding others through these adjustments, it hit me - when was the last time I gave my own settings a thorough review? If I'm being honest, it's been way too long. So I'm committing to...
