Afrezza, Eversense, and 1-minute slushies!

Hi Reader!

I’m officially four weeks into my Eversense 365 CGM journey, and I’m happy to report that I am loving it.

If you’ve been nervous about the insertion procedure, don't be. It was easy, painless, and healed up perfectly. After a quick break-in period, the accuracy has been spot-on.

The biggest win for me? The peace of mind. I’m no longer stressing about my sensor getting ripped off when I’m wrangling the kids, bumping into doorframes, or hitting the pool. Plus, not having to deal with sticky skin residue and those annoying "Day 1" accuracy fluctuations has been a total game-changer.

I just calibrate once a week and pop the transmitter off for 10 minutes of charging every day or two. That’s it! Aside from that, I won't have to think about it until next March.

I’ve paired it with my Twiist pump and a test branch of DIY Loop, and the integration has been working flawlessly.

If you’ve been on the fence about making the switch, I highly recommend looking into it. Feel free to reply if you have specific questions!

What I'm loving this month on Amazon!

Here are a few of my favorite purchases from the past month:

  • Cute skort: I bought this in black this year and love it so much, I just purchased it again in blue. It is the perfect tennis skort, swimsuit cover-up, or just a comfy skort to run errands in.
  • Favorite tank top: I am almost embarrassed to admit that I now own this tank top in 5 colors. It is stretchy, the perfect length, and great to wear with leggings or shorts for workouts, or you can dress it up with jeans.
  • Medicube lip mask: Medicube has become one of my favorite skincare lines recently. I love this lip mask. It tastes great and makes my lips feel very soft and hydrated.
  • Slushie Maker Cups: My kids are loving these! You just freeze the cup, add your liquid of choice, squeeze the cup for a minute, and you have a quick, easy slushie! Much quicker and more affordable option than another appliance that will sit on the counter.
  • Gu Energy gels: These are amazing! They taste like dessert and have become one of my favorite ways to prevent or treat low blood sugars before or during exercise.

Until next time,

Lindsay

P.S. - I’ve spent the last three months coaching private clients in the FTF Warrior program, and seeing our clients transform their relationship with diabetes has been truly amazing. Watching so many of them hit 90%+ Time in Range while still living life and eating normally is exactly why I love this work.

If you’re interested in seeing what FTF Warrior is all about, head over to the FTF Warrior YouTube channel to learn more. If you’re ready for a change, send me a message. I’d love to chat with you about the program!

Hi Reader! School started for my kids this week, and maybe it’s the Type A in me, but being back to a routine feels glorious. I love summer, but by mid‑August I’m ready for cooler mornings and more predictable days. Evenings are officially back to chauffeuring my kids around to soccer, baseball, tennis, and gymnastics. For me, staying busy and having a steady rhythm makes blood‑sugar management so much easier. Next week I have an appointment with a new endocrinologist. My last endo left the...

Hi Reader! I always underestimate how busy summer gets. Between work, vacations, playdates, and being the mom taxi, life fills up fast. Because of that, I’ve paused taking Nourish clients so I can focus on my blog, Omnipod trainings, and private clients in the FTF Warrior program. I truly believe in the FTF Warrior program. It’s designed to help you tighten up your blood sugars, hit 90%+ time-in-range, and predict how food, exercise, and everyday life affect your blood sugars. If you want...
